Whether it's dusty stacks of credit card statements, old receipts, or even last year's tax forms, the threat of identity theft doesn't provide comfort in parting ways with sensitive documents.
That's why Texas Health Resources is inviting the community to participate in Shredfest, a free, secure shredding service provided by Iron Mountain. In recognition of Earth Day, the event will take place on Saturday, April 15.
From 9 a.m. to noon at several Texas Health locations, personal paperwork will be shredded securely on-site, and all the paper shreddings are recycled. Each participant may bring up to five boxes or bags of material for shredding.
Before driving to any of the seven Texas Health locations, please keep a few things in mind:

Over the past five years, Texas Health's Shredfest has shredded and recycled more than 250,000 pounds of paper, saving more than 1,520 trees and 260 cubic yards of landfill space.
