The City of Arlington is requesting proposals for the following federal grants:

• Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) – Public Services and Planning
• HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) –Homeowner and Rental Housing Development
• Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) – Homeless Services

A Funding Availability Workshop for interested non-profit organizations, Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDO), and developers will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, 2023, in the Arlington City Hall Council Chamber, located on the first floor at 101 W. Abram Street, Arlington, Texas.

Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Public Services - $500,000

• Estimated Number of Non-Profit Public Service Awards: 30
• Awards typically range between $10,000-$40,000.
• Public Services funding cap does not apply to infrastructure or CBDO awards.

Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Microenterprise - $100,000

Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) Homeless Services – Shelter & Street Outreach - $171,000

Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) Homeless Service – Rapid Rehousing & Homeless Prevention - $114,000

HOME Investment Partnerships - $1,250,000

HOME Investment Partnerships - Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) Set-Aside - $208,000

Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds can be used for public services to serve low- to moderate-income Arlington residents. Services to low-income Arlington residents may include but not limited to senior services, employment assistance, financial literacy, childcare and after school programs, health care services, substance abuse treatment, education, and others.

Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds can be used to provide services to Arlington individuals who are homeless and those at-risk of homelessness. Eligible uses of funds include homeless shelters, rapid rehousing, homeless prevention, and street outreach services.

HOME Investment Partnership Grant funds can be used by non-profit Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDOs) and for-profit developers spur development of affordable owner and rental housing for sale or rent to low-income Arlington residents.
