Leftover household products that contain corrosive, toxic, ignitable, reactive, or potentially hazardous ingredients are classified as Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) and require special care when you dispose of them. HHW such as paints, cleaners, oils, pesticides, batteries, and other items will NOT be collected at the curb.
Arlington residents have two free methods to dispose of HHW:
- Take the HHW items and batteries to the Fort Worth Environmental Collection Center located at 6400 Bridge Street, Fort Worth. Please limit your visits to once per month.
- Take the HHW items to one of the Arlington HHW Collection Events. These events are a first-come, first-served event. Storage capacity is limited, so please arrive early!
Residents must provide a current driver’s license or water bill as proof of residency.
HHW from businesses or contractors will not be accepted.
