United Way of Tarrant County

Calling all Arlington community members! United Way of Tarrant County is excited to continue our partnership with the City of Arlington for the 2024-2025 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), and HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) grant season. This is an amazing opportunity to use your skills and insights to support local nonprofits!

Last year, 24 dedicated volunteers invested over 470 hours to review 32 grant proposals from local nonprofits, making a meaningful impact on our community's future. Now, we invite you to apply to join this year's team to support Arlington’s residents and ensure that these proposals align with the City's needs and priorities. Volunteers must live or work in Arlington.

Volunteer responsibilities include:

  • Review and score assigned proposals on your own using an online platform.
  • Upload scores and comments online.
  • Participate in the reviewer orientation.
  • Attend the mandatory consensus meeting on Jan. 14, 2025.

Key dates:

  • Dec. 5, 2024 – Virtual Orientation
  • Dec. 9, 2024 - Proposal review begins
  • Jan. 2, 2025 - Proposal reviews due
  • Jan. 14, 2025 - Mandatory Virtual Consensus Meeting

If you’re interested in joining our team, please send a message to [email protected] with the subject line “UWTC-GA Volunteer Opportunity” by Friday, Oct. 18, 2024. If you have any questions or would like to recommend potential reviewers, feel free to reach out.
