Medal of Honor Museum Light Beams

The grand opening for the National Medal of Honor Museum in Arlington is on National Medal of Honor Day, March 25, 2025. Festivities to celebrate the new museum will kick off the night of Saturday, March 22 with a free outdoor public event that will include fireworks, a drone show and more. 

The National Medal of Honor Museum: Mission to Inspire Spectacular will be a family-friendly event will feature live music and performances, speeches from Medal of Honor recipients and special military displays and interactive exhibits. Other activities include a Kids Zone, photo opportunities with the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders, local sports teams like the Texas Rangers and Arlington Renegades, plus a whole lot more.

The night will end with the Mission to Inspire Spectacular, a 360-degree storytelling show in the sky featuring fireworks, drones, video, and a variety of musical arrangements.

The public event will start at 7 p.m. at East Road to Six Flags, adjacent to the National Medal of Honor Museum on the north side of Choctaw Stadium in Arlington’s Entertainment District. The Mission to Inspire Spectacular is scheduled to start at 9 p.m.

Admission is free, but NMOHM officials are asking the public to register to attend the Mission to Inspire Spectacular on Eventbrite. Attendees can also find a schedule of events and parking map on the event page.

The public is encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy the show. Please note the list of prohibited items for this event:

The National Medal of Honor Museum, located at 1861 AT&T Way, will officially opens its doors on March 25, inviting visitors to explore the incredible stories of bravery and selflessness that define the Medal of Honor.
