City Set to Begin Voter-Approved Turner Warnell Improvements in March

The Public Works Department is pleased to announce that construction to transform Turner Warnell Road is scheduled to begin in March 2023.

This project, which is estimated to be completed by May 2025, includes the following improvements:

  • Widening Turner Warnell Road to a 4-lane concrete roadway, including raised medians, streetlights, landscaping, and sidewalks
  • New 2-lane concrete road called Grimes Street that will connect Turner Warnell Road to Dan Gould Drive
  • Drainage system improvements, sanitary sewer system improvements, and water adjustments
  • Traffic signal improvements at Cooper Street and Walnut Creek Drive

Residents interested in learning more about the voter-approved project are invited to participate in a public meeting on Monday, March 6, 2023, from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center at the Summit High School located at 1071 Turner Warnell Road, Arlington, Texas 76001. There will be a short presentation followed by a question-and-answer session.
