Dog of the Week – Meet Dots
This eight-year, one-month-old female American blue heeler mix is black and blue in color and weighs 63 pounds. Even though Dots is a senior dog, being a heeler, she hasn't let her golden years slow her down. Such a sweetheart of a dog! Her smile is infectious as you can see from her photo. There's no denying that she likes naps just as much as any canine but when it's time to go she is ready. Dots does great on leash due to her being older and wiser as she knows that manners are important. Her good manners are exhibited when walking and interacting with staff and volunteers. An all around great pooch, Dots is considered a VIP pet due to her being a senior dog making her adoptable at a reduced fee. Since heelers usually live well into their teens, Dots is just getting started on her life journey. Dots is in Dog Adoptions (DA) 4, and her ID number is A52337215.
Second Dog of the Week – Meet Jordan
This one-year, one-month-old male Labrador retriever mix is tan and brown in color and weighs 70 pounds. Opposite in age from our other selection, Jordan is a youngster and is still learning. He has achieved success in knowing how to "shake" and "sit". He is still a work in progress learning the "do's" and "don'ts" of leash walking (or running as he would say if he could talk). Like most canines, Jordan loves playing with toys and loves treats even more, but being on the receiving end of "pets" is THE BEST! This pup is sweet like a chocolate sundae with his color variation of chocolate brown, tan and white. Having achieved VIP status, Jordan has a reduced adoption fee. Help the shelter meet its goal of 200 adoptions by May 6 by adopting a shelter pet today. Meet Jordan at Dog Adoptions (DA) 23, his ID number is A52254852.
Adoption fees include all core vaccinations, alteration and microchip.
