Little Explorers – Downtown Library
Stop by The Play Room at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library on 10 a.m. Fridays for a morning of play-based learning. This come-and-go program will vary week-to-week as librarians explore art, math, science, engineering, and fine motor skills. Family Storytime – Southeast Branch Library
Join the Arlington Public Library’s fabulous library staff to sing, read and wiggle during storytime at the Southeast Branch Library 10:30 a.m. Fridays. This storytime is geared for ages 2-5. Outdoor Storytime at River Legacy Nature Center
Join the Arlington Public Library at River Legacy Nature Center for stories and nature with a special outdoor storytime, weather permitting, 1:30-2:30 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2024. The program will be moved indoors in the case of inclement weather. Click here to register.
Zip & Sip: Arlington Parks Centennial Community Night
Join the Arlington Parks & Recreation Department 6-9 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2024, at River Legacy Park East for a unique Zip & Sip experience. Enjoy the Treetop Journey at Go Ape Arlington before grabbing a tasty adult beverage! The Arlington Parks Centennial Community Night features a variety of fun vendors and delightful drinks. After sunset, the course will be lit up to create a magical adventure after dark! There will be a bounce house, sand volleyball, beer and wine, yard games, music, food, and lots of fun! It's prom season at the library, and they’re hungry for braaaaiiiinns. Join for the 2nd annual Zombie Prom 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2024, at the Southeast Branch Library. Enjoy a night of zombie-themed games, dance like the undead, take prom photos, and vote for Zombie Prom Royalty. Zombie and/or formal attire optional but encouraged. Light snacks will be provided. It'll be a night to dismember! This program is for teens, ages 13-17.

Board Walk
Arlington residents are invited to the inaugural Board Walk, a walk-and-talk style citizen engagement event where residents will meet members of the City of Arlington Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and have the opportunity to voice feedback and ask questions about our parks system. The inaugural meet-up will take place at River Legacy Park 9-10 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2024. The event is free to attend and will begin at the Elm Grove Pavilion. East Creek Clean-Up
Help beautify Bob Cooke Park remove trash and debris from our creek 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2024. Gloves, trash pickers, and all other supplies are provided. Whether you need community service hours or want to give back, everyone is invited to come and help us make our park clean. Children 12 and under must have a parent/guardian present with them. Sewing Retreat: Sundress
You are invited to the Spring Sewing Retreat 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday, April 13, 2024, at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library’s Create Room. During the daylong project you will make an easy shirred sun dress for this beautiful spring weather. Sewing machine experience required. Registration needed for use of our machines. Pet Adoptions Event – Mutts About You
Join Arlington Animal Services mobile adoption truck will be at DICK’S Sporting Goods at The Parks Mall at Arlington with furry friends to meet 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday, April 13, 2024. Stop by to visit with an adoptable pet to get some pet therapy and possibly a forever friend. Cannot make it to the event? Recycled Wind Chime Craft
Recycle and repurpose items into a brand-new creation!
