Mayor Ross to Discuss ‘Arlington’s Tomorrow’ at State of the City Address Oct. 30, 2024

State of the City with Arlington Mayor Jim Ross

Arlington Mayor Jim Ross will highlight the City’s current successes and his vision for the future during his annual State of the City Address on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2024, at Esports Stadium Arlington.

Ross, who is serving his second term, will discuss a variety of topics, including economic development, tourism, investments in public infrastructure and amenities designed to enrich our community, and other milestone moments recently celebrated in The American Dream City.

Additionally, Ross will announce the 3rd annual Mayor’s American Dream Award recipient. Arlington Tomorrow Foundation Executive Director Carolyn Mentesana was the inaugural recipient of this honor in 2022, followed by Green Oaks School executive director and co-founder Jean Jewell in 2023.

The ticketed, in-person event will be hosted by the Greater Arlington Chamber of Commerce and will be broadcast on the City of Arlington’s Facebook page.

The Arlington Highlands is this year’s presenting sponsor.

The Greater Arlington Chamber of Commerce will also honor its 2024 Small Business of the Year recipients at the 19th annual event, which will be held from 11:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Esports Stadium Arlington is located at 1200 Ballpark Way.

The entire State of the City address will be recorded and replayed on the City's government cable channel on AT&T U-verse Channel 99 or Spectrum Channel 16, 15.1 (digital).
