An updated neighborhood plan was crafted with the collaboration of the North Central Historic Neighborhoods residents, City staff, and a dedicated steering committee. This comprehensive plan, recently approved and adopted by City Council, is set to become an integral part of Arlington’s Comprehensive Plan.

North Central Historic Neighborhoods residents approached the City in May 2023 seeking an update to their existing plan, which was conducted in conjunction with City staff in 2001. Within this neighborhood’s boundaries lie two distinct historic districts: the Old Town National Register Historic District and The Hill Historic District.

You can read more about the North Central Historic Neighborhoods Plan and learn about Arlington’s Sister City visit in the latest edition of the Champion Great Neighborhoods newsletter. All quarterly City Council priority newsletters are produced in a digital format, allowing for layers of additional video content and important links.

Other updates include information on the City’s Tool Sharing Program and the Rotary Club of Arlington’s dedication of a new public art piece in Downtown Arlington.
