On Thursday, March 9, 2023, at approximately 9:21 a.m., the Arlington Police Department responded to a single-vehicle wreck in the westbound lanes of I-20 near Little Road.

Witnesses told officers a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee traveling westbound suddenly left the roadway and crashed into the concrete median. The driver of the Jeep, a 64-year-old man, was transported to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. It appears he may have had a medical emergency while he was driving.

There was no one else in the Jeep and no other vehicles were involved.

At this time, it’s unclear whether the crash contributed to his death. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will make that determination and will also identify the deceased once next of kin have been notified.
