Lupes Comida Con Sabor

Isabel Huerta, owner of the Arlington Lupes Comida con Sabor branch, is honored to play a part in bringing “Food with Flavor” to Arlington and following in the footsteps of her Aunt Lupe.

“It’s a lot of dedication and hard work,” Huerta explained. “We want people to feel like they are home when they visit our restaurant. We make everything from scratch, still using our original, traditional recipes.”

The family business, Lupes Comida con Sabor, was inspired by the family’s Aunt Lupe, who was originally from Michoacan, Mexico. The local family-owned restaurant first opened in 2005 in Bedford, before expanding and opening their second location in Arlington’s Lincoln Square in 2011, where the restaurant is still located.

“Part of what makes our restaurant special is the people who work with us. Most of them, both on the floor and in the kitchen, have been with us since day one, for almost 17 years,” Huerta stressed.

When it comes to choosing a favorite dish that customers must try, Huerta emphasized there’s so many, but a few of her favorites are the chiles rellenos de camarón and the mole.

Lupes Comida con Sabor has live music almost every week, Ladies Nights and multiple weekly specials that customers can take advantage of.
