Rangers to host Oakland Athletics and Seattle Mariners in Six-Game Homestand, August 13-19 at Globe Life Field

The Texas Rangers return to Globe Life Field on Friday, August 13, to begin a six-game homestand through Thursday, August 19.

The Rangers will open the homestand against the Oakland A’s on Friday, August 13 at 7:05 p.m., followed by games on Saturday, August 14 at 6:30 p.m., and Sunday, August 15 at 1:35 p.m.

After an off-day on Monday, the Rangers will return to the field on Tuesday, August 17, to host the Seattle Mariners in a three-game series. The Rangers and Mariners will face off on Tuesday, August 17 at 7:05 p.m., Wednesday, August 18 at 7:05 p.m., and Thursday, August 19 at 1:05 p.m.

On Saturday, August 14, former Texas Rangers third baseman, Adrián Beltré, and legendary PA Announcer, Chuck Morgan will be inducted into the Texas Rangers Baseball Hall of Fame. To celebrate the 2021 Hall of Fame inductees, the Rangers are partnering with 105.3 The Fan and Bally Sports Southwest for the Beltré’s Back Ticket Offer. Beltré and Morgan will be inducted in a pre-game on-field ceremony prior to the Rangers-A’s game, beginning at 5:10 p.m. It will be carried live on Bally Sports Southwest and the Texas Rangers Radio Network, including flagship stations 105.3 The FAN and 1270 AM. First pitch of the Rangers-A’s game is expected to be at 6:30 p.m. CT on Saturday.

Bally Sports Southwest Rangers broadcasters Emily Jones and John Rhadigan will serve as co-MCs for the ceremonies. Members of the Texas Rangers Hall of Fame currently scheduled to attend include Richard Greene, Tom Grieve, Toby Harrah, Ferguson Jenkins, Eric Nadel, Iván Rodríguez, Jeff Russell, Tom Schieffer, Jim Sundberg, and Michael Young. 

The first 25,000 fans entering Globe Life Field on Saturday will receive a copy of the new 2021 Texas Rangers Yearbook, which commemorates the induction of Beltré and Morgan into the Rangers Hall of Fame. In addition, the first 15,000 fans get an Isiah Kiner-Falefa Gold Glove Bobblehead presented by Coca-Cola and Kroger.

The 2021 Texas Rangers Equipment Drive is taking place during the month of August. Gently used baseball and softball equipment can be donated at the Grand Slam Team Store inside Globe Life Field, or monetary donations can be made online at texasrangers.com/equipment. All donations will directly benefit area youth.

Tickets for the A’s and Mariners series and all 2021 home games can be purchased at texasrangers.com, by calling 972.RANGERS, and at the Globe Life Field box office located at the Southeast entrance of the park. For all home games, the Rangers are making certain locations of Globe Life Field “Distanced Seating” sections, with tickets sold in pods of two and four seats to allow for more space between occupied seats.

Guest Policies and Protocols for all 2021 Texas Rangers games at Globe Life Field

  • Masks are recommended for all fans except when actively eating or drinking at their ticketed seats. That includes all concourse areas and when entering Globe Life Field.
  • Hand sanitizing stations are available throughout the ballpark.
  • Globe Life Field is cashless. All tickets will be digital and only credit cards are accepted at concession stands and retail locations.
  • Safe distancing is encouraged in concession lines and retail locations.
  • Outside food is allowed inside of Globe Life Field as long as it is inside a sealed clear gallon sized (or less) plastic bag.  Guests may also bring in a sealed non-flavored water (plastic bottle and under 1 liter).  One bag of food and one bottle of water per ticket will be permitted.  Additional considerations will be made for dietary concerns and infants.
  • All bags and purses must be soft sided and not exceed the Major League Baseball bag-size requirements of 16” x 16” x 8” All backpacks are prohibited, except single-compartment drawstring bags. Exceptions are for those bags that are carried for medical reasons or manufactured diaper bags that accompany infants and young children.  All bags are subject to search before entering the ballpark.
