Cowboys host Seahawks

Holiday in the Park at Six Flags Over Texas

Celebrate the magic of the season during Holiday in the Park where Six Flags Over Texas will transform into a festive wonderland complete with millions of lights, scrumptious holiday treats, and classic live entertainment! Click here for more information. It runs through New Years’ Day. 

José Guadalupe Posada: Legendary Printmaker of Mexico

Experience the artistry of José Guadalupe Posada, a visionary illustrator whose legacy is perhaps the most influential of all Mexican artists but whose name was almost lost to history. Forever Forest Visiting Exhibit 

Forever Forest by Omaha Children’s Museum, is an immersive exhibit that teaches families how their everyday lives are connected to forests through the ways they live, work, and play. Families will enjoy hands-on activities focused on forest life and sustainable harvesting. Visit the River Legacy Nature Center to explore the forest like never before. Climb, crawl and slide on treetops, become a conductor for a day and work a kid-sized replica of a Union Pacific engine, or work together to build a house as you learn about the many things wood is used for! The exhibit runs through Saturday, Feb. 10, 2023.

Texas Christkindl Market

In its 13th year, the Texas Christkindl Market, presented by Reliable Commercial Construction, is a free, family friendly market in Arlington featuring a unique shopping experience for holiday gifts, decorations, and one-of-a-kind finds. This year's event is scheduled from Nov. 24 through Dec. 23, 2023, at the North Plaza at Globe Life Field. Click here to learn more.

Family Storytime – Southeast Branch Library

Join the Arlington Public Library’s fabulous library staff to sing, read and wiggle during storytime at the Southeast Branch Library 10:30 a.m. Fridays. This storytime is geared for ages 2-5. They will read books, sing songs, and have an activity after the program each week. Dear Santa Christmas Market

The 2nd annual Dear Santa Christmas Market is December 1-3, 2023, in Downtown Arlington.  This three-day outdoor gift market on South Street features over 50 vendors, food vendors, roaming Christmas themed characters and an appearance by Santa Claus! Click here for more information. 

Sewing for Beginners: Gift Card Holder

This event takes place 3-5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1, 2023, at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library’s Tinker Room. Learn sewing machine basics and make a gift card holder for your gift giving needs. Materials will be provided. This class is limited to the first 8 in attendance and is appropriate for ages 13+.

A Christmas Carol: The Radio Show at Theatre Arlington

It’s the opening weekend to catch A Christmas Carol: The Radio Show at Theatre Arlington. It’s Christmas Eve, and with the actors snowed in and unable to make it to the studios of WXMS for the live radio performance of A Christmas Carol, the sound effects person decides to take the audience through the classic tale himself. In an impressive and amusing feat, this telling is performed as a 1940s radio play with one person providing all of the characters’ voices and sound effects. This rollicking, creative adaptation of Dickens’ classic work is sure to warm the hearts of even the chilliest audience members. The show begins Friday, Dec. 1 and ends Sunday, Dec. 17, 2023. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays, and then 2 p.m. Sundays. The Saturday, Dec. 9 performance will take place at 2 pm, as Theatre Arlington will be participating in the Arlington Parade of Lights on that evening. DC Wonder Woman Run

The DC Wonder Woman™ Run 5K, 10K and 10-Mile is coming to Arlington Sunday, Dec. 2, 2023. Speed through scenic Richard Greene Linear Park before you cross the finish line. Pet Adoptions at The Highlands PetSmart!

Join Arlington Animal Services inside PetSmart at Lincoln Square for a tail-wagging, family-friendly, pet-saving community event 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, 2023. Adorable adoptable pets looking for new homes will be available inside PetSmart and ready for immediate adoption. Scheduled events are subject to cancellation without notice due to unfavorable weather conditions (heat, cold, storms, etc.) for the safety and protection of adoptable pets, volunteers, and staff.

Connection with a Cop

Members of Arlington Police will be at The Parks Mall at Arlington in center court near Santa to visit with the kids and hand out treats and goodies from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, 2023. Head over to Candyland and share a peppermint with a cool officer!

Dr Pepper Big 12 Championship 

The Dr Pepper Big 12 Championship returns to AT&T Stadium on 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, 2023. Watch the top two regular season finishers compete for the Conference title in the Championship Game at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Tickets are on sale at SeatGeek.com. Backyard Bass Tournament

Bass fishing without the expensive boats, lures, or even water! That is what we will do at this event. Join a Texas Parks and Wildlife Certified Angler Education Instructor as you are taught to catch the elusive Backyard Bass! There will be prizes awarded for various categories and age groups. This event is intended for those ages 5-16. It takes place 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, 2023. Come on out and wet a line (well, not really, but you get it)! All equipment will be provided. Kringle Village hosted by Dance Theatre of Arlington

All the way from the North Pole. Singing elves, dancing reindeer and Santa himself invite you to Kringle Village at Knapp Heritage Park for food, fun and family friendly festivities. There will be games, prizes, food, drinks and live entertainment. It takes place Dec. 2, 3, 16, 17 from 1-5 p.m. You can shop the holiday market for secret Santa surprises, stocking stuffers or a little something special just for you. Make a meal of tasty hot tamales on site or pickup frozen tamales to go for your family's holiday feast. Adult day passes are just $10 each, and kids 12 and under get in for free.

Teens Give Back

Teens join the Arlington Public Library at the Ron Wright Lake Arlington Branch for a chance to give back to the community! The event takes place 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, 2023. Come to make seasonal cards and gifts for seniors who partake in Books on Wheels, the library's outreach service for residents who live in select senior housing facilities. Supplies will be provided.

Embroidery for Beginners 

This event takes place 3-5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, 2023, at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library’s Tinker Room. Learn the basics of the embroidery machine. Materials will be provided. This class is limited to the first 5 in attendance and is appropriate for ages 13+.

The Drop: Bonnie X Clyde 

The Drop is back in Shift4 Arena at Texas Live! 11 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, 2023, featuring the best regional and national EDM artists. Sunday Brunch

Ventana Grille at the Tierra Verde Golf Club clubhouse is now serving brunch from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. each Sunday. Menu items include four savory Eggs Benedict entrées, Shrimp-N-Grits, Ginger Salmon, and our favorite - Napoleon's Last Meal, a buttermilk fried chicken breast over bourbon french toast and served with maple syrup! Arlington Community Band’s Holiday Concert 

The Arlington Community Band performs its Holiday Concert 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, 2023, at Lamar Baptist Church, located at 1000 W. Lamar Blvd. in Arlington. This family friendly concert is free to attend.
