Here are a few ways you can enjoy your weekend in The American Dream City. 

Citywide Trunk-or-Treat event

The Arlington Police Department hosts a citywide Trunk-or-Treat event 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, 2023, at Vandergriff Park. It is free to attend. 

Pumpkin Nights 

Head over the Howell Farms for Pumpkin Nights. At Pumpkin Nights, you will venture along a half-mile walking path, where you’ll discover the Forbidden City, a Pirate’s Cove, and more fantastical lands built using over 5,000 hand-carved real and artificial pumpkins. The celebration continues with entertainment and games in The Village, our festival area. Tickets are non-refundable. There is a $5 fee (per ticket) to change entry dates and times. These changes must be requested 48 hours before your originally scheduled time slot and tickets cannot be transferred to a sold-out night. There will be NO walk-up ticket sales. Fright Fest

It is time for Fright Fest at Six Flags Over Texas through Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2023. Get ready for the best Halloween event of the season, featuring family-friendly thrills by day and the scariest frights by night presented by SNICKERS®.

Kids Boo Fest

Kids Boo Fest at Six Flags Over Texas, is where you will find tons of fun for your little monsters with treat-or-treating and family-friendly Halloween activities. Explore spooky fun for all ages and get your tickets from now until Sunday, Oct. 29, 2023.

Oktoberfest Food Festival

Head over to Six Flags Over Texas through Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2023 to enjoy craft & seasonal brews complimented with a menu of German inspired cuisine at the park’s Oktoberfest Food Festival. Celebrate Oktoberfest with Six Flags by adding a Taste of Oktoberfest Sampler to your order. Six Flags Over Texas is offering over 30 beers and wines during our Oktoberfest event, including a popular list of “Oktoberfest” favorites.

Shows at Arlington Music Hall

The Arlington Music Hall has shows you can enjoy this weekend. You can experience Henro Cho 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, 2023, Onah Live In Alkebulan Concert 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, 2023, Mitch Rossell 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, 2023 and The Rocky Horror Picture Show 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29, 2023. José Guadalupe Posada: Legendary Printmaker of Mexico

Experience the artistry of José Guadalupe Posada, a visionary illustrator whose legacy is perhaps the most influential of all Mexican artists but whose name was almost lost to history. Little Explorers – Downtown Library 

Stop by The Play Room at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library on 10 a.m. Fridays for a morning of play-based learning.  This come-and-go program will vary week-to-week as librarians explore art, math, science, engineering, and fine motor skills.  Join the Arlington Public Library as we playfully discover the world around us!  Designed for ages 1-4. Family Storytime – Southeast Branch Library

Join the Arlington Public Library’s fabulous library staff to sing, read and wiggle during storytime at the Southeast Branch Library 10:30 a.m. Fridays. This storytime is geared for ages 2-5. They will read books, sing songs, and have an activity after the program each week. Dottie Teen Night

Trail-or-Treat 

Join the Arlington Parks and Recreation Department for this spook-tacular event 6-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, 2023, at the East Library and Recreation Center. There will be fun games, vendors, trick-or-treating, and more. This is a free event for ages 5-12.

Beacon Family Game Night

This family friendly event will be a fun way of connecting. It takes place 6-9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, 2023, at The Beacon Recreation Center. The Arlington Parks and Recreation Department will have new and old games to play. Pizza will be included in your registration price. Click here to register.

Miller Lite Hot Country Nights: Wynn Williams

Texas Live! hosts Miller Lite Hot Country Nights powered by TXU Energy. It’s Wynn Williams taking the stage at the CBD Kratom Backyard with doors opening 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, 2023. The Show is free to attend but you can upgrade your concert experience. Learn more by clicking here

Discover Day Trip – Boo at the Zoo

Discover DFW creating memories that you will never forget. Enjoy popular fall events around the metroplex and gain some new friends at our themed weekend day trips. This month the Arlington Parks and Recreation Department is headed to the Fort Worth Zoo to enjoy the Boo at the Zoo festivities. Departure is scheduled for 9 a.m. and return around 5 p.m. Click here to register.

Pick a Punkin Mobile Pet Adoption Event

Join Arlington Animal Services for Paws at the Parks Pick a Punkin inside The Parks Mall at Arlington in front of DICK’S Sporting Goods for a tail-wagging, family-friendly, pet-saving community event 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, 2023. Adorable adoptable pets looking for new homes will be available inside PetSmart and ready for immediate adoption. Scheduled events are subject to cancellation without notice due to unfavorable weather conditions (heat, cold, storms, etc.) for the safety and protection of adoptable pets, volunteers, and staff.

Rally Days 

Rally Days presented by SeatGeek give NFL fans an experience of a lifetime the day prior to Dallas Cowboys home games – enjoy activities at Miller Lite®House, get a behind-the-scenes tour of AT&T Stadium and more. MoMo Festival 2023

MoMo Festival is an exciting extravaganza organized by Team MoMo To Go, dedicated to showcasing the vibrant flavors, traditions, and arts of Nepal. It takes place 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, 2023, at Levitt Pavilion Arlington. This event allows attendees to immerse themselves in the authentic taste of Nepal as local Nepalese restaurants prepare and serve a delectable variety of LIVE cooked momos. This is their chance to savor the true flavors of Nepal right here in Arlington. From classic favorites to unique creations, there’s a momo for everyone to enjoy! But that’s not all! The festival is jam-packed with exciting activities and entertainment for all ages. Phantom Lights 

Grab all your favorite ghouls and goblins and head over to Cliff Nelson Recreation Center for a family friendly evening of games, music and fun 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, 2023. You and the Arlington Parks and Recreation Department will be selling floating lanterns ($10/each) on a first come basis. There will be opportunities to decorate your lantern and then watch it float the night away on the Cliff Nelson Pond. Family friendly costumes are encouraged. Paint Wars

Paint Wars is a fast and fun painting competition where eight local artists compete in three-round eliminations where the winners of each round are determined by audience vote. It takes place 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, 2023, at the Catalyst Creative Arts. Artists will have to complete their painting in 20 minutes on an 18 x 24-inch canvas.

Dead Will Live! Halloween Party

Join Texas Live! 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, 2023 for Dead Will Live! Halloween Party. The party is free to attend. Wear your best costume and you could win the costume contest cash prize! They will have live entertainment DJ Dynamix, photo ops, custom cocktails, and more. General Admission includes an event lanyard badge and three drink tickets. VIP Round Booth includes a table for you and your guests in Shift4 Arena, prime view of stage, complimentary champagne, event lanyard badge, and three drink tickets for each guest. Sunday Brunch

Ventana Grille at the Tierra Verde Golf Club clubhouse is now serving brunch from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. each Sunday. Menu items include four savory Eggs Benedict entrées, Shrimp-N-Grits, Ginger Salmon, and our favorite - Napoleon's Last Meal, a buttermilk fried chicken breast over bourbon french toast and served with maple syrup! Cowboys host Rams

Your hometown Cowboys host the New York Jets in their regular season home opener 12 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29, 2023, at AT&T Stadium. Limited tickets are available now at SeatGeek.com.

Water Marbling On Silk Scarf

Catalyst Creative Arts is excited about this addictive activity that is fun for all ages 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29, 2023, at the Catalyst Creative Arts. In this class, paint is applied to the surface of a special water bath. Floating the colors in our custom-built water marbling trays, combs, rakes and a stylus are used to create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece silk scarf. The class begins with their artist giving instructions and making the first water marbled scarf to demonstrate multiple design techniques. Each person's first scarf is $48. Additional scarves per person are $30. They are prepared the exact amount of material ahead of time for each class. No refunds or credits for cancellations less than 24 hours in advance or for no shows.
