Educator, Bestselling Author Dennis Kimbro named Keynote Speaker for 2024 Arlington MLK Advancing the Dream Gala

The Arlington MLK Celebration Committee, Inc., announces a change for the 2024 MLK Advancing the Dream Gala, as Dennis Kimbro, educator and bestselling author, will present the event’s keynote speech.
Civil Rights activist and radio host Joe Madison was tabbed as the keynote speaker for the upcoming event but had to cancel his appearance due to his health. The Arlington MLK Celebration Committee, Inc., sends its care and support to Madison during this time.
As one of today's top business speakers, Dr. Kimbro has documented and shared his principles and insight on peak performances with thousands of followers around the globe. Currently, he teaches on the faculty at Clark Atlanta University School of Business Administration, where he was awarded "Professor of the Year" on three occasions. Dr. Kimbro is the author of five books, "Think and Grow Rich: A Black Choice," "Daily Motivations," What makes the Great Great," "What Keeps Me Standing," and "The Wealth Choice; Success Secrets of Black Millionaires."
The 2024 MLK Advancing the Dream Gala, which includes dinner, special tributes, entertainment and scholarship and award announcements, is set for 6:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12, 2024, inside the University Center’s Bluebonnet Ballroom on The University of Texas at Arlington campus. Vince Sims, co-anchor and reporter for NBC 5 (KXAS), will serve as the event’s emcee. Individual tickets or a sponsorship table for eight can be purchased at on the UTA Tickets website.
The event is part of the annual Arlington Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Four-Day Celebration. As one of the largest celebrations in the state, this four-day event attracts thousands of Arlington-area residents each year. The 2024 Celebration runs from Friday, Jan. 12 through Monday, Jan. 15, 2024.
