On Thursday, December 14, 2023, at approximately 3:56 p.m., the Arlington Police Department responded to the intersection of Sublett Road and Park Springs Boulevard to investigate an auto-pedestrian collision involving a child.

The child, a juvenile female, was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. Late Thursday night, medical staff notified the department she died from her injuries.

Investigators believe the girl was attempting to cross from the north side of Sublett Road to the south side when she was struck by two vehicles that were traveling in the eastbound lanes of Sublett Road.

Both drivers stopped, remained at the scene, and have cooperated with the investigation. No criminal charges have been filed in connection to this incident.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the name of the child.
